In this highly effective new trailer for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, we get seven straight minutes of exposition from the always-reliable “announcer.”
It goes over everything from fundamentals to actual content, including a ton of previously unseen footage from newer characters. I mean, it has pretty much everything you could want, from a full roster picture and a complete numbers breakdown (74 fighters, over 100 stages).
I know people are talking about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate quite a bit but I feel like the conversation isn’t nearly as elevated as it should be. Just watching this trailer reminded me of how monumentally ambitious this game is: and how it’ll set the tone for pretty much every fighter in the future (“why doesn’t this game include every fighter and stage ever created?”).
Just a few more weeks and we’ll see if Sakurai really completed his masterpiece. THAT’S CO-OP, BABY!
