Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Sony’s animated take on the Spider-Man universe, is set to hold the #1 spot in its domestic box-office launch, if projections for the film hold.
As reported by THR, Into the Spider-Verse is on pace to “open between $28 million and $35 million, according to projections from the major Hollywood tracking services.”
Alongside Into the Spider-Verse, Peter Jackson-produced Mortal Engines and Clint Eastwood’s The Mule will also be released on the same weekend and are projected to fall behind the film that focuses on Miles Morales instead of Peter Parker.
