Swedish gaming publisher Starbreeze has found itself in financial trouble following poor sales of Overkill’s The Walking Dead, and the company has parted ways with its CEO as a result.

In a statement posted on Starbreeze’s website, the company said that it had filed for reconstruction (the Swedish equivalent to a company going into administration) with the Stockholm District Court “based on a shortage of liquidity,” and that financial targets set between Q4 2018 and 2020 would no longer be applicable.

“As also announced today, Bo Andersson will leave his position as CEO,” Starbreeze added. “Bo Andersson and Kristofer Arwin have further resigned from the Starbreeze Board of Directors effective immediately.”
