Earlier this fall Microsoft announced it was adding support for mouse and keyboards on Xbox One, finally making good on a promise it made years ago. While there have been a few ways to use a mouse and keyboard with a console this generation, they’ve either been annoyingly wired like the Hori TAC Pro, or have kludgy interfaces – the XIM Apex comes to mind. The wireless AimSwitch from GameSir (See it on Amazon), however, is about as close as we’ve gotten to a simple, wireless, plug-and-play mouse and keyboard setup for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It’s a mechanical half-keyboard with blue mechanical switches and four custom buttons along with a gaming mouse. The pitch is that the mouse and keyboard could give you a leg up in the heat of battle, with better accuracy and precision than you’d get from a gamepad, all in a $130 package. Let’s find out how that promise holds up in the real world.
