The first half of The Walking Dead’s Season 9 hit us with two time jumps, gruesome new foes, some major character exits, and the promise of a giant communal fair. It also continued the show’s legacy of having a high-ass body count, with a big name getting the axe (or machete) in the midseason finale, “Evolution.”
