Netflix may have already given the boot to Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Daredevil, but everyone’s favorite cold-blooded vigilante is still going strong. Today, Netflix announced the premiere date for the second season of The Punisher, with a new trailer that introduces an infamous villain.
The trailer jumps back and forth between the brooding thoughts of Frank Castle and Billy Russo, who fans know better as Punisher’s long-time nemesis, Jigsaw. Both men clearly aren’t starting the new year on a good note, and I’m guessing peaceful conflict resolution isn’t on the table. See for yourself in the trailer below.

The most important element of the trailer is the announcement that season two will available for streaming on Netflix on January 18. What happens after season two remains to be seen, but given Netflix’s recent penchant for ending its Marvel shows, the finale may be more…well, final, than fans are anticipating.
