However, My Time At Portia is surprisingly fun to play, and differs from the Harvest Moon-inspired RPG more than I thought it would. There are still some pretty obvious high-level similarities between the two. Most notably, the overall structure of the narrative, but a few major mechanical distinctions help bring new life to an otherwise been-there-done-that moment within the gaming community.”
