It turns out Shazam’s superhero costume for the upcoming film was incredibly expensive to make, ultimately costing upwards of $1 million. What’s crazier: 10 of these suits were reportedly made for the upcoming film, each costing the same amount.
TotalFilm (via SyFy Wire) spoke to costume designer Leah Butler, who stated “Each suit costs, oh boy, upwards of a million? We have ten suits.”
She also explained that the design of the suit was inspired by Shazam’s look in the New 52 series of comics, and took cues from Greek and Roman symbolism. You can get a decent look at it in this poster for the upcoming movie.
