Earlier today, Nintendo announced work on Metroid Prime 4 would be starting “from the beginning,” with development duties being handed back to original trilogy developer Retro Studios. With the development clock reset, the wait for the series’ already-long-awaited fourth entry has presumably been multiplied, leading to widespread disappointment among increasingly impatient fans.
Despite the disappointment, many seem to be taken with Nintendo’s transparency and excited by the thought of the series going back to Retro.
