Game Skinny: I’ve dearly loved Resident Evil since its birth, which is why I’m sad to say that I don’t think it will ever again be as special as it once was. Don’t get me wrong, Resident Evil 2 Remake is a good game. At times, and in certain respects, it even borders on greatness. Alas, it’s conformed to the modern era of gaming in one of the worst ways: by dumbing itself down in the name of accessibility.
