A series based on the book, The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic and Madness at the Fair That Changed America, by Erik Larson, is now being developed at Hulu.
The announcement came from Hulu’s Senior Vice President of Originals, Craig Erwich, at the Television Critics Association’s Winter Press Tour Monday morning.
Leonardo DiCaprio acquired the rights almost 10 years ago, with plans to adapt the story into a film in which he would star as the main character, Holmes.
The novel is based off a true story of two men at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair – one an architect and one a doctor who is said to have become the first serial killer in America.
