In a collaboration with Academy Award-nominated director Neill Blomkamp, BioWare released Anthem Conviction this morning, a live-action short film that reads better as a live-action trailer.

The YouTube video’s description says that Anthem Conviction is set “decades before the events of the game.” However, the video doesn’t offer much in the way of a story, but it features some cool special effects, produced by Blomkamp’s Oats Studios. According to EA, Blomkamp, who directed films like District 9, Elysium, and Chappie, founded the studio in 2017 as a platform to practice creating visual effects and to create experimental short films.

Anthem launches February 22 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. You can check out the official launch trailer here, or discover Anthem’s endgame offerings here.
