Director J.J. Abrams tweeted Friday that Star Wars: Episode IX has wrapped filming, and posted a photo from the set featuring Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), and Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron).
“It feels impossible, but today wrapped photography on Episode IX. There is no adequate way to thank this truly magical crew and cast. I’m forever indebted to you all,” Abrams said in his post.
Episode IX is the final installment in the Skywalker Saga, and ends the new trilogy begun by Abrams with 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens and continued on in 2017’s Star Wars: The :Last Jedi.
