Big ticket auctions have traditionally been reserved for rich people and the things they love to buy. You know, things like classic and contemporary paintings, sports memorabilia, old coins with the wrong year printed on them, and Liam Neeson’s daughter in Taken. Video games haven’t really been big in the auction world, but that changed last week when a copy of Super Mario Bros. sold at auction for more than $100,000.
That’s a lot of money for a game you can get pretty much anywhere for next to nothing, but it got me thinking about what ridiculous items I’d love to buy if I had that kind of cash lying around. On this week’s Podtoid, the crew shares what they’d spend that much dough on, rant about Anthem, gush about Tetris 99, and disclose the interesting places we’ve found porn. All that and more on Podtoid episode 390.
