Blizzard today announced a raft of new details about the year ahead for Hearthstone, from the cards that will be going to the Hall of Fame, new Arena formats and a new approach to single player content, through to a number of updates that will be coming to the game with the next patch. Let’s go through them.
The next Hearthstone year will kick off with the next Standard format rotation – when the three oldest sets leave the game (in this case Journey to Un’Goro, Knights of the Frozen Throne and Kobolds & Catacombs) and the first new set of the year is released. That set hasn’t been revealed yet, but we do know that when rotation happens we’ll leave the Year of the Raven and enter the Dragon. The Year of the Dragon, that is.
