A sequel to the sci-fi action film Edge of Tomorrow is reportedly in development, and actors Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt are expected to return.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, director Doug Liman is also expected to return, but he and the lead actors will reportedly do so on the condition that they like the latest script. Matthew Robinson, who has worked on The Invention of Lying, Monster Trucks and more, has been tapped to develop this script.
The screenplay of the original film was written by Jez and John-Henry Butterworth and Christopher McQuarrie, who is well known for working with Cruise on films like Jack Reacher, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and Fallout, and more.
