The upcoming Ghostbusters sequel from director Jason Reitman may be close to casting two of its stars: Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard and Infinity War’s Carrie Coon.
Per Variety, the two actors are still in talks with Sony for their roles, though both appear to be likely candidates. Sources tell Variety that the movie will focus on a family with a single mom played by Coon and her son played by Wolfhard. Though rumors suggested Reitman was hesitant about using a Stranger Things cast member, considering the show’s references to Ghostbusters, he and executives were reportedly “blown away” by Wolfhard’s audition.
