In celebration of Alien’s 40th anniversary, Twentieth Centry Fox Film partnered with Tongal to give fans the opportunity to create six original Alien Short Films, which will be released beginning March 29 on IGN.
After being chosen from a pool of over 550 pitches, the filmmakers were given access to franchise storytelling elements, creatures and characters. The first four shorts will initially screen at Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle on Friday, March 15, followed by C2E2 in Chicago on Saturday, March 23. The last two shorts, helmed by female filmmakers, will screen for fans at WonderCon on Saturday, March 30 – this will be followed by a moderated panel with the directors.
