Rotten Tomatoes is reportedly said to be considering further changes to its audience reviews process following continued negative posts by trolls.

As reported by THR, Rotten Tomatoes may soon require users to verify that they have actually “seen the film in question before being allowed to post a critique.”

It is unclear how this will work, but it’s another potential play to quell these baseless negative reviews that have specifically affected Captain Marvel since its release.

Rotten Tomatoes announced its initial change to the rating system last month and removed the option for fans to comment and “rate” films prior to its actual release as a way to avoid negative reviews being posted by users before they have actually seen the movies in question.
