Over the last few months, it seems like Netflix is on a mission, making multiple announcements about new additions to their anime library from Netflix Originals to classic shows. The list is growing, but let’s break down the top titles coming in 2019 that we are excited for, and we’ll have the rest of list of the anime coming to Netflix this year at the end of the article.

Neon Genesis Evangelion – June 21

Neon Genesis Evangelion is considered one of the best anime of all-time. A group of teenagers tries to save the world from aliens using massive machines, all the while, struggling to understand themselves after enduring heart-wrenching trauma and tragedy. This story miraculously combines Kaiju, Mecha, and psychological thriller with action-packed, dramatic moments. And if you don’t like the ending of the 26-episode series (don’t worry), Netlifx will also have the films The End of Evangelion & Evangelion: Death (True) 2. Netflix is making a statement grabbing this huge classic IP by finally making it accessible for streaming (You don’t even want to know how expensive the DVD box set is).
