Apple has officially announced a games subscription service called Apple Arcade during today’s special event in the Steve Jobs Theater.
Apple Arcade is a single subscription with access to over 100 new and exclusive games, with more to be added. It will be available in Fall 2019 in 150 countries and regions. Pricing and more details to come.
Beyond the Steel Sky, Lifelike, Fantasian and more have been announced for the service. Final Fantasy’s Hironobu Sakaguchi called Fantasian “a game that shouldn’t exist, every day is a challenge, creating gaming worlds by hand, we are building dioramas, photographing them and adding 3D characters. I’m a little scared of how many sets we are going to have to build in the end.”
