Update 4/5: Critical Role’s record-breaking Kickstarter has hit all of its stretch goals on its way to becoming one of the most-funded Kickstarters ever, ensuring what was originally a single animated special will now be a 10-episode series.
The Legend of Vox Machina Kickstarter campaign hit $8.9 million as of this morning, cruising past the final, $8.8 million stretch goal. That goal added two more episodes of the series — an additional 44 minutes of animation — to allow Critical Role to animate the conclusion to its Briarwoods arc narrative.
