Doom Patrol fans have even more reason to be happy in 2019. Even as the recent live-action series makes a strong case for subscribing to DC Universe, the franchise is also making its return to the comic book realm. Today DC Comics revealed that Gerard Way and Nick Derington’s Doom Patrol series is returning as part of a larger relaunch of the Young Animal imprint.

The new incarnation of Young Animal will again be curated by Way and will hinge on three books. Doom Patrol: Weight of the Worlds will pick up where the previous volume of the series and the Milk Wars crossover left off in 2018. Way will be joined by co-writer Jeremy Lambert. Derington will only be providing cover art this time. Instead, the series will feature a revolving lineup of artists that includes James Harvey, Doc Shaner, Nick Pitarra and Becky Cloonan.
