If you were to guess who has the most screen time in the MCU, would you have guessed the record holder is Tony Stark?
His words are prophetic — this is the path that he started us on — that he started the MCU on. Sure, Captain America fought the Red Skull in the 1940s and Nick Fury met Carol Danvers in the 1990s, but the MCU as we know it all started with Tony Stark in 2008’s Iron Man.
From building his own suit in a dark cave, to becoming the world’s first superhero, Tony Stark has been the face of the Avengers for almost a decade. His memorable declaration “I am Iron Man” set the stage for all 22 films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. These 22 films have to a close with Avengers: Endgame. Tony has been at the center of it all, and his screen time up through Avengers: Infinity War proves that as he clocks in at whopping 322 minutes.
