Since Borderlands 2 dropped in 2012, there have been two Destinys, two Divisions, one Warframe and roughly one half of an Anthem (lets be honest) that have launched and battled it out for the loot shooter crown to varying levels of success (with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel also squeezed into the mix).

Yet with the upcoming release of Borderlands 3, the team at Gearbox Software remains confident that its packing the right kind of firepower to stand out among what has become an increasingly populated genre in recent years.
