Writer Jonathan Hickman is making his long-awaited return to Marvel Comics this summer, and now we know that the upcoming House of X and Powers of X are just the start of Hickman’s ambitious, multi-year plan for the X-Men franchise.
Hickman shed more light on his plans in an interview with ComicBook.com. He revealed that Marvel will be cancelling the rest of the X-Men line this summer in order to keep the spotlight on House of X and Powers of X. Once those two miniseries end in September, Marvel will relaunch the entire X-Men line with new titles and creative teams.
