SteelSeries has unveiled an all-new gaming keyboard called the Apex Pro at Computex 2019, and its headline feature is that you can adjust the actuation distance for the switches with just the tap of a key. It’s a welcome feature as up until now most keyboard switches have been made with a fixed actuation distance (the point at which a key press becomes a digitized keystroke); either shallow for fast action, or deeper for typing and productivity. The switches, which SteelSeries calls Omnipoint, let you have the best of both worlds as you can adjust the actuation point from as shallow as 0.4mm or as deep as 3.6mm.
