Reports indicate that Apple, at today’s WWDC 2019, will announce that three separate media apps are going to replace iTunes on desktop.
iTunes has been a mainstay since it was first announced in 2001, but will soon be replaced by three separate apps for Music, TV, and Podcasts, according to a report by Bloomberg. The announcement is expected to occur during today’s keynote at 10am PT/1pm ET/6pm BST.
Alongside this reveal, Apple is also expected to discuss how it is positioning the Apple Watch to have even more independence from the iPhone with WatchOS 6, its push to make the iPad an even more viable laptop replacement, potentially show off a new Mac Pro, and give the world a look at iOS 13.
