Six decades after we first entered the dimension of sight, sound, and mind, we are officially back in the Zone. As the first season of producer Jordan Peele’s revival of The Twilight Zone comes to a close with episode 10, titled “Blurryman,” the latest journey into a wondrous land of imagination seems to just be getting started, with Season Two already confirmed.
The first season was largely entertaining but the overlong episodes didn’t quite capture the tension, or twists, of the original series. However, it did achieve some high points and was consistently well acted, while hewing close to the morality tale sci-fi/fantasy framework of Rod Serling’s 1959 creation.
