On Monday Apple revealed an all-new Mac Pro at its WWDC event in San Jose and a swanky 6K professional monitor to go with it, but what really made headlines was the cost for the monitor’s stand; a ridiculous $999. The audience seemed to laugh when the price was projected onto the screen, but it’s really the price of what is just a stand. There’s no input/output ports or Thunderbolt connections; it’s just a stand. Granted, it looks pretty nice and all, but $999? For a monitor stand?
