Microsoft has announced that the CrossFire multiplayer FPS series is coming to Xbox One in the form of CrossFire X, due to launch in 2020.
The CrossFire series, from developer Smilegate, has so far been a PC exclusive, and is the most played video game in the world, thanks to its huge popularity in Asia. There are 660 million accounts registered worldwide, and it has grossed over $10 billion. The Xbox One launch marks the first time a game in the series will be available to console players.
It is described as “first to Xbox One”, suggesting that this is a timed console exclusive, with further platforms available later.
