Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, announced Microsoft is bringing Xbox to the cloud with Project xCloud.
“Two months ago we connected all Xbox developers to project xCloud. Today, we invite those of you here at E3 for our first public hands-on of Project xCloud,” Spencer announced on stage at Microsoft’s E3 Briefing.
The new platform feature, which Spencer called Console Streaming, turns your Xbox One into your own personal Xbox server for free. “You can play your games wherever you go,” he said.
Immediately following the announcement for Project xCloud, Microsoft officially announced the next-generation Xbox console: Project Scarlett. To read all of the details we know so far, check out the announcement of Project Scarlett, which will be released during the holidays of 2020.
