Following the Nintendo Direct at E3 on Tuesday, the world premiere of gameplay for Animal Crossing: New Horizons was revealed during Nintendo Treehouse Live.
Game producers Hisashi Nogami and Aya Kyogoku were featured during the gameplay with a Q&A, going into detail on new elements that can be seen in the the upcoming game.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons takes place on a deserted island, where the player travels to on a “deserted island getaway package”which is run by the business Nook Inc. – owned and operated by a familiar face of Tom Nook.
In terms of why they chose a deserted island environment for the game, they explained that they wanted to give players a new experience from the previous game titles. They wanted to give players the freedom to choose what they wanted to build and where, opposed to having a preexisting village.
