Netflix is making steady headway on its planned transmedia adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia. The streaming giant announced its multi-year deal with the C.S. Lewis Company back in October 2018, with plans to bring the beloved series to life in a series of movies and TV shows, and now it’s tapped its “creative architect.”

Netflix announced via its Twitter account See What’s Next that Coco co-writer Matthew Aldrich will “serve as the creative architect and oversee the development of all films and shows adapted from C.S. Lewis’ beloved Narnia universe for Netflix.” While Coco is Aldrich’s best-known work, he also wrote the 2007 Samuel L. Jackson thriller Cleaner and the 2018 Guy Pearce thriller Spinning Man.
