Daredevil Season 3’s single-shot prison riot scene has been snubbed by the Emmys due to a technicality.
The fight scene in question is the unforgettable 10-plus-minute long session that sees Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock fighting his way out of a prison while the camera rolls continuously, never cutting to a different angle. The show is not on the ballot for an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Stunt Coordination.
The news of the scene’s exclusion comes from the season’s showrunner, Erik Oleson, who tweeted that “The TV Academy would only allow a three minute clip, so, unfortunately, that epic oner was not eligible to be shown for stunts consideration.”
