Pokemon fans now have an inside look into what could have been in Detective Pikachu. Concept artist RJ Palmer took to Twitter to share concept art for an early version of the Charizard underground Pokemon battle, which originally included fan-favorite Garbador, as well as an unused confrontation with Gyarados.
Palmer describes his version of the Charizard scene as “more of a chase through the underground culminating in a clash with Gyarados at the waterfront.” See the full art below (via ComicBook.com):
