The Menagerie activity has been a hit for Destiny 2 players, and Bungie is expanding it with a heroic (hard) mode pretty soon. That’s actually arriving tomorrow, June 25, and it will not feature matchmaking, with a power level requirement of 750 (up to 770). Modifiers will be rotated on a weekly basis (per boss), and you can wipe to orbit if certain conditions are met.
Bungie also updated its cross-platform FAQ as it attempts to roll out cross-save and the move from Battle, net over to Steam later this year. As a reminder, the Shadowkeep expansion will launch in September, and will include special codes depending on which version you order. For cross-save, you will be able to play the “New Light” edition of Destiny 2 for free, but if you want to play expansions on other platforms (Forsaken and Shadowkeep are explicitly mentioned) you need to pony up and buy them all. Cross save “will preserve all gear, characters, and items across platforms regardless of expansion ownership.”
You cannot “merge” any accounts or characters either: “Cross Save does not feature any form of account, character, or progress merging. Selecting a set of characters for Cross Save does not delete or alter the data of any other character sets. Other character sets will be inaccessible for use as long as Cross Save is active.” And as a reminder, Google Stadia and PC versions will not interact at all, and Bungie is “investigating” the feature.
I’m sure there will be more FAQ revisions in the next three months, but that’s the latest info we have.
