In advance of AMD dropping its all-new next-gen GPU architecture in the near future, Nvidia is looking to steal its thunder by releasing second generation Turing GPUs, starting with the RTX 2060, RTX 2070, and RTX 2080 Super graphics cards. This review is of the 2060 Super, and a 2070 Super review is also available for you to read).
To make it Super Nvidia revamped almost everything on this GPU, which has resulted in a $50 price bump, though the original RTX 2060 will continue to be sold for a $350 MSRP, with the Super version going for $400. This particular GPU will be going up against the Radeon RX 5700, which is priced at $379 and has very similar specs, though it’s built on AMD’s all-new RDNA architecture so nobody knows how it will perform just yet. That review will be coming soon though, so stay tuned. Also note that there will be 2060 Super cards from Nvidia’s partners as well as this one, made by Nvidia. Anyhoo, the Super cards feature a lot of improvements, so let’s get into it.
