Some PS4 players, currently grinding out their fastest runs in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, have unfortunately come across a save corruption bug. The bug appears to kick in once the time trial mode’s “ghost data” surpasses a certain size, which can cause the save file to go a bit doo-lally.
Developer Beenox are now aware of the issue and are currently working on a patch to remove it from the game. A fix is expected to arrive as part of this week’s new update, bringing the first wave of Grand Prix awards to the cartoonish kart racer. Until the patch’s implementation, it is being suggested that players hold off on the Time Trial mode.
As an apology for the glitch, Beenox will also roll out 2,500 wumpa fruit (CTR’s in-game currency). To activate the bonus, players just need to jump into the game before July 4, complete a single race, then visit the Pit Stop. The bonus fruit should then be added to your account within 24 hours.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
