Shovel Knight has sold 2.5 million copies across all platforms since launch. The titular knight has also cameoed in 25 other games ranging from Runbow and Brawlhalla to Nintendos own Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
In a celebratory blog on the official site, the developers run down plenty of fun development tidbits and anecdotes about features that almost made it to the game.
