The Chicago Championship Series is kicking off next month! This brand-new event series is inviting top gaming competitors to gather in Chicago, Illinois to compete for bragging rights and a fat stack of cash. Registration is now open. Here’s the details and where to go:

The Tournaments 

Four different tournaments with their own individual prize pools will be held beginning on August 13 at 115 Bourbon Street, a 51,000 square foot entertainment center located in Chicago’s South-side. So, I’m sure you’re asking, what prize-worthy games do I need to start brushing up on? This Esports event will feature Call of Duty: Black OPs 4, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Super Smash Bros. Melee. You can enter any of these tournaments for some serious prizes. 

The Prize Pools

Coming out on top in the Counter-Strike or Call of Duty tournaments will net you a $5,000 prize. The winners of either of the Super Smash Bros. tournaments will be awarded a cool $2,500. The competitions start in mid-August, so that still leaves you about a month to work on your game. 

The Info You Need 

If you are looking to chase after those rewards and test your skills, you can sign up for any of the four tournament right now, registration will be open until the events start on August 13. You can also check out more information on the venue hosting the Chicago Championship Series here

Keep in mind that the August tournaments are only the beginning. The Chicago Championship Series will also hold events in October, December and February. Each of these events will build up to the tournament finals which will be held in March 2020.
