Quentin Tarantino has shared his vision for the much-discussed Star Trek project, which – if it is ever approved for production – is expected to mark his final film as a director.
During a recent interview with Deadline, Tarantino spoke about his interest in exploring strange new worlds with Star Trek producer JJ Abrams, who reportedly supported his idea of boldly going with an R-rated entry.
“Deadpool showed that you can rethink these things, do them in a different way,” Tarantino explained. “So really, even before JJ knew what the idea was, his feeling was, if it wants to be an R rating, fine.”
