Quentin Tarantino has confirmed that his Star Trek movie will take place in what he refers to as the “Chris Pine timeline.”
The influential filmmaker recently sat down with MTV’s Happy Sad Confused podcast to talk about his current and future projects. Over the course of the conversation, he opened up about the script for his much-discussed Star Trek movie, revealing that it will take place somewhere within the Kelvin timeline, the same universe in which 2009’s Star Trek, 2013’s Star Trek Into Darkness, and 2013’s Star Trek Beyond reside.
