IO Interactive, the Danish video game developer behind the Hitman series, is already looking towards making Hitman 3. But before that, IO Interactive may release a completely new IP first.
In a new episode of the NoClip video game documentary, host Danny O’Dwyer visited IO Interactive’s office in Copenhagen to find out how the studio was able to survive a dramatic 2017 where parent company Square Enix tried to sell the studio.
Instead of finding a buyer, IO Interactive underwent a management buyout to become an independent studio and the owners of the Hitman IP.
