Ben Affleck’s tenure as Batman seems to have come to a close, but we now have some idea of the tone and content of his abandoned Batman movie. According to cinematographer Robert Richardson, Affleck’s version of The Batman would have explored Batman’s grip on sanity and focused on Arkham Asylum.
Richardson was previously attached to The Batman when Affleck was still slated to direct and star, and he shed more light on that version of the film on an episode of Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast (via Batman News).
