Crew members on the Fast & Furious movies claim that actors Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham strongly dictate how much they get hit during fight scenes.
According to an article in The Wall Street Journal, the three actors have created specific guidelines that ensure they don’t get beat up too much on screen.
The report says Diesel saw that Statham was getting more hits on him during rehearsal for a fight in the seventh Fast & Furious movie, so he came to producers with a numerical system that gives a different value to each type of hit. This was rejected for being too convoluted.
