Netflix has canceled The OA after two seasons.

for sharing their audacious vision and for realizing it through their incredible artistry,” said Cindy Holland, Netflix’s head of originals (via The Hollywood Reporter). “We look forward to working with them again in the future, in this and perhaps many other dimensions.”

Season 2 of the heartfelt, often bizarre drama was released in March. IGN’s The OA Season 2 review called it “more ambitious and much weirder than its predecessor,” noting the finale’s enticing setup for a third season. The OA was originally pitched as a five-season show, Holland told IndieWire last year.
