Epic Games has released Version 10.0.0 for its globally successful money-maker, Fortnite. The new update, the first since the game began it’s latest season, sees the battle royale title thrown into the past, letting players battle it out in the old west, which seems to be a go-to when games wanna shake things up a little.

Season X is mostly based around the wilds of time and space, y’see? And as such we can probably expect a lot of updates that will mess with the settings and landscapes of the online shooter in the near-future. Right now, Neo Tilted has been refashioned as “Tilted Town”, a rickety, wooden gunslinger’s paradise, complete with saloon, old-school clock towers and covered wagons filled with hay bales. Player avatar are also getting into the spirit, kitted out with old west clothes, and the Fortnite arsenal reduced to a selection of old-school weaponry, such as six-shooters and rifles. Good luck, ya sidewinder.
