The first trailer for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series has debuted at D23, and despite how complicated the title is, the show looks pretty charming.
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is created and executive produced by Tim Federle (“Ferdinand”), and will premiere when Disney+ launches on November 12.
The series – based on the blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie franchise that launched the careers of Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens – “follows the East High drama club as they work their way to opening night of their school’s first-ever production of High School Musical. Show-mances blossom, old friendships are tested while new ones are made, rivalries flare, and lives are changed forever as these young people discover the transformative power that only high school theater can provide.”
