Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a well-made survival game that can feel unforgiving and a bit repetitive at times, but manages to be the Sui generis of the genre by trying to carve out a place for itself in the world. Its something fans of the genre should buy day if youve got nothing against the Epic Games Store. For others, its going to be a long wait till 2020.
